It did start to get out of hand slightly; why a 40-something was so entrenched in a feud with a guy barely older than his oldest son was strange to say the least.
But then someone decided Ball should pick on someone his own size – Charles Barkley.
Barkley called LaVar out for saying that the Lakers would make the playoffs with Lonzo running the point and Sir Charles thought it was ludicrous and kept his loyalties tied to his former team.
Really, it just made the Sixer-Lakers meetings this season must-watch TV.
Then Embiid decided to reignite the flames by trolling LaVar on Instagram after a monster performance against the Lakers in L.A. last month.
So when the time came for the LakeShow to take their talents to the City of Brotherly Love, all eyes were on Embiid, Lonzo, and LaVar.
This time, the Lakers narrowly beat the Sixers but it was what went down backstage that has everyone talking.
After months of feuding, the LaVar-Embiid feud played out in the bowels of the Wells Fargo Center although it probably didn’t go the way anyone expected.

Afterward, Embiid wrote on IG: “Tough loss but met LaVar and he’s definitely fun and full of energy.”
LaVar returned the kind words and showed his appreciation for Embiid’s outspokenness: “Don’t worry about nobody on the outside,” LaVar told Embiid. “You just keep playing.”
