LeBron James is the best small forward in history and he’s still the best wing in the NBA even entering his 14th season. Truthfully, he’ll probably always be the best small forward to ever play the game.
That said, the King is in a tier of his own, but you already knew that.
So, we’re taking a look at who we believe the best small forwards in the NBA are to start the 2017-18 season using certain criteria. Players that play hybrid positions (Andrew Wiggins, for example) are not included, neither are the players who played less than 1,000 minutes last season.
10. Otto Porter, Jr.

2016-17 Stats: 13.4 PPG, 1.5 APG, 6.4 RPG
The Wizards have a nice squad this year and they knew they had to match the Nets’ $106 million offer to ensure they can be in consideration as one of the teams that can take down the Cavs. They did and he signed, so the 24-year-old will be in D.C. for the next four years.
