Back in January when rapper/producer/entertainer Ice Cube announced he was starting up his own 3-on-3 basketball league formed with former NBA players, it was met with a lot of skepticism.

It turns out the joke is on everyone not named “O’Shea Jackson.”
(If you didn’t know, that’s Ice Cube’s legal name)
Not only did he pull some pretty big headliners – Julius “Dr. J” Irving, Kenyon Martin, Chauncy Billups, Mike Bibby, and Allen Iverson – but attendance is actually higher than most people would have expected.
