Damian Lillard is about to have a huge year.
On the court, Lillard and Trail Blazers’ backcourt partner, C.J. McCollum, are poised to become one of the league’s best guard tandems.
At least, that’s what they’ve been working towards all summer.

Lillard is undoubtedly one of the NBA’s emerging stars due to his pure talent and work ethic, but he’s actually talented in the recording studio as well.
In 2013, Lillard used Instagram and his now-famous hashtag #4BarFridays to display his own rap talent and challenge basketball colleagues like LeBron James, Draymond Green, and Paul George.
Real talk: Dame always had the best bars.
I'm launching #4BarFriday today. All you folks that tweet me that you can rap, here's your chance to prove it. Record 4 bars and upload them on here with the #4BarFriday tag. I'm gonna feature the best 4 entries each Friday on 4BarFriday.com and @4BarFriday. Spit hot fire like Dylan lol…Keep your bars PG-13 though! Spread the word…Let's go!
His freestyles caught some attention and he was a guest on Sway in the Morning two years later.
Dame dropped one of the sickest raps ever on the long-running radio show and as they say, that was all she wrote.
Check It Out:
Not only is he establishing himself as a legitimate rapper, his contract with Adidas has produced his own signature line, the Dames.
His Dame 3’s did pretty well for Adidas over the past year and they’re relatively affordable. (By his own admission, this is because he keeps the cost lower by not using Adidas’ BOOST technology and he prefers the Bounce system anyway).
Fans have been in anticipation for the Dame 4’s without any real word on when they’re coming out.
