The NBA schedule for the 2017-18 season has yet to be released, but thanks to an unlikely feud, it looks like there are a lot of people looking forward to one matchup in particular.

Even better news for the Association and its broadcasting partners? It will only happen twice this year.

What’s the matchup? The Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers.

Six months ago, if you were to tell anyone that one of the most anticipated games of next season was Sixers Vs. Lakers, they’d probably think you’ve lost your mind.

And until LaVar Ball came along a couple of months later, they’d probably be right.

We’re not rehashing the last four months since the Ball Family patriarch forced himself into all of our lives, we’re just going to focus on how he helped make Philly-L.A. hyped again.

Joel Embiid plays the other huge role in the hype. which started on Draft night with this tweet:

The outspoken LaVar didn’t take too kindly to Embiid’s tweet and responded in a radio interview given in Philly.
