Throughout his career, but especially in the last few years, Stephen Curry has set the bar really high when it comes to breaking NBA records.a record-setter.

Minutes after the league’s 2017 free agency period opened, he set another one.

Curry has won the league’s Most Valuable Player award twice; the second time winning it unanimously.

He has led the league in three-pointers for five years – another record.

Off the court, he has accomplished his greatest feat of all.

Curry re-signed with the Golden State Warriors shortly after midnight, Eastern time. That part was expected. What wasn’t was the amount he signed for.

Curry is now the highest paid player in the NBA and makes more money per year than any athlete in all four of the major North American sports.

First reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Curry signed a 5-year, $201 million deal per the two-time champ’s agent Jeff Austin of Octagon.

At the time of this posting, Curry’s teammate Kevin Durant has not yet re-signed with Golden State, but it widely expected he will. The only real question is: For how much?
