Former Rockets owner Leslie Alexander made quite the return on his investment when he sold the team to businessman Tilman Fertitta earlier this week.
Alexander, one of the most beloved public figures in Houston, purchased the Rockets for $85 million in 1993 and sold the team to Fertitta for an NBA record 2.2 billion.
Forbes placed the Rockets value at $1.65 billion, with the assumption Alexander could fetch as much as $2 billion.
It kinda leads you to wonder how much other owners paid for their NBA teams.
