Philadelphia swapped picks (and through in another for good measure) with Boston before the NBA Draft so that they could select Washington point guard Markelle Fultz.
The pick gave the Sixers the No. 1 overall pick for the second straight year.

In addition to the two first-overall picks, which were used on Fultz and Ben Simmons, the Sixers also selected third overall in 2014 and 2015. They selected Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor, respectively, with both of those picks. Also in 2014? They selected Dario Saric with the 12th overall pick, too.
