The end of 2017 is looking much better for Kristaps Porzingis than the start did.
It all started when the Knicks’ center expressed his dissatisfaction with the organization back in February.
Then there was the rumored beef with then-President Phil Jackson, which reached a pinnacle when the season was over and Porzingis flat-out refused to participate in exit meetings.
He chose to fly home to his native Latvia, where he refused to speak to the media about the Knicks organization altogether.
In fact, according to Jeff Hornacek, he wouldn’t even answer texts from his coach.
Then Jackson got canned and longtime Knicks anchor Carmelo Anthony got traded to OKC in the offseason.
All eyes were on what the 22-year-old would do when the season started. What he did was play basketball. Very well.
