The NFL season kicks off in just over a week and teams are in the process of solidifying their final rosters.
Whittling the talent pool down to 53 – 63 if you count the practice squad – is tough work for an organization.

Some teams, like the Patriots, seem to nail the process every year while other teams’ fanbases are left asking what the general manager and head coach were thinking.
This is an exercise in the latter.

The New York Jets have had their fair share of unfortunate events over the last decade or so. They definitely are not the worst in terms of the NFL hierarchy, but they also aren’t winning any bets to go to the Super Bowl either.

The fanbase is one of the most frustrated in all of the U.S., so it really is understandable that they lost their minds with the announcement that the team had signed two players.
