One of the best parts of the 2017 MLB All-Star Game was that Fox mic’d up two of the players who were participating in the Midsummer Classic.
The first of whom was Nationals superstar Bryce Harper. The reasons were pretty clear: he is extremely popular, pretty entertaining, and a good ball player.
The 2015 National League MVP did not disappoint.

The second player Fox chose was Astros outfielder George Springer, who jumped at the opportunity.
Now, the casual baseball fan may not be as familiar with Houston’s All-Star as they are with Harper, and that’s okay; the point is that fans now know who he is.

Springer has a pretty significant stutter, one he is not shy about.
In fact, Springer has been open about speaking with a stutter his entire career. Chances are, Springer being mic’d up was just what a few young t-ballers and little leaguers needed to hear.
