Aaron Hernandez went from a star tight end in the NFL to a convicted murderer in 2015.
Last month, Hernandez won a legal battle when he was acquitted in a different murder trial, that time he was accused of killing two men.
A week later, while everyone slept Hernandez killed one more person… Himself.
The news broke in the middle of the night that he hanged himself in his cell with his bed sheet.
He was found in his cell by guards at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center around 3 am. He was pronounced dead at UMass Memorial-HealthAlliance Hospital approximately an hour later.
The story couldn’t have ended any more confusing than it started.
At least, his story on this Earth. After he took his own life, the suicide letter he wrote to his fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, surfaced with one more clue in the troubled man’s puzzle.
