It’s been well over a year since Kevin Durant ripped the hearts out of Thunder fans, just like the way Supersonics faithful’s souls were stolen from them and sent to Oklahoma City.
Seattle’s hardcore base screamed at ownership from the top of the outdated KeyArena “How could you do this to us?!”
Of course, as you know, the owners settled with the city, paying them $45 million for the remaining two years of their lease and left the name, colors, and logo in Seattle for a possible future franchise.
That doesn’t matter though!
Just like it didn’t matter that KD was a free agent and signed with another team who he felt after nine years gave him the best opportunity to win a championship.
HOW DARE HE WANT TO WIN A TITLE?!
It’s so absurd to think that a player who spent the overwhelming majority of his life playing a sport, would want to win a championship!
Boy, bet when you go to draft your fantasy team you’ll have a different motivation because winning isn’t allowed to be among the reasons for doing something. Plus, think about all those players who get injured that you drop to add a replacement – that’s not nice!
Clearly, we’re being facetious here on all fronts.
