Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has always had a flair for dressing as dapper as possible, but he may have outdone himself at the 2017 Met Gala.
Newton, the 2015 NFL Most Valuable Player, isn’t afraid to express his unique personality through his wardrobe, especially when it comes to his head fashion.

Nothing Is Too Bold For Cam Newton
Newton loves hats so much, he even has a personal hatmaker on speed dial, according to the New York Post.
“I’ve probably made a hat for him once a week since I met him,” Alberto Hernandez, a hat designer from the Nick Fouquet hat shop in Venice, CA said.
Hernandez began designing hats for Newton – including a ribboned straw boater and a wide-brimmed turquoise chapeau- for the QB’s postgame press conferences last summer.
“Sometimes I don’t even charge him,” Hernandez told the Post. “It’s just so much fun for me.”

In fact, Newton was very proud of his outfit and posted some pics on his Instagram account.
Unfortunately, “proud” wasn’t the feeling it sparked in the Twitterverse…
