The NBA season is two months away and the Association hasn’t been forthcoming with information this offseason.

While the league did release some pertinent info about the 2017-18 schedule, all we got when it came to the actual schedule was that it was being finalized and would be released soon.

We did get this nugget early Thursday morning:

Aside from the tweet that Philly and Beantown would meet in London on one of the 31 days in January, we also now know that the league will open on Oct. 17 with two games that night: The Celtics vs. the Cavaliers and the Rockets vs. the reigning world champions.

The league also released the remaining nationally televised games for the opening week, promoting it as the NBA Tip-Off Schedule:

76ers at Wizards | Oct. 18, 7 p.m., ESPN
Timberwolves at Spurs | Oct. 18, 9:30 p.m., ESPN
Knicks at Thunder | Oct. 19, 8 p.m., TNT
Clippers at Lakers | Oct. 19, 10:30 p.m., TNT
Cavaliers at Bucks | Oct. 20, 7 p.m., ESPN
Warriors at Pelicans | Oct. 20, 9:30 p.m., ESPN
