The lineup was also announced for the NBA’s premiere play date, Christmas Day.

76ers at Knicks | 12 p.m., ESPN
Cavaliers at Warriors | 3 p.m., ABC
Wizards at Celtics | 5 p.m., ABC
Rockets at Thunder | 8 p.m., ABC
Timberwolves at Lakers | 10:30 p.m., TNT

Yes, that’s another nationally televised game for the Sixers on one of the NBA’s biggest stages.

The last time Philadelphia played on December 25th since 2001 – that’s a 16-year drought, but like the last two Christmases, which showcased the Pelicans and Timberwolves, it gives you an indication that the Association brass feels the Sixers are an up-and-coming team who should be exciting to watch.

LeBron Vs. KD will get the coveted 3 p.m. time, which is after kids open presents and before dinner so there’s plenty of time to kick back and watch these two teams go at it for the umpteen time.

They were also the stars of Christmas last year, too.

The only other notable date is Jan. 15, when Chris Paul has his homecoming in L.A. against his former team, the Clippers.

It’s great that the start of the season and marquee Christmas matchups have been announced, but everyone is really waiting for the main course.

Which of the announced games are you most looking forward to?
